The Catalina Maple hardware includes the round "gas cap" bass drum mount and the improved low-profile GTS Tom Suspension System 2025, mounted off the shell, which provides significantly longer sustain and a more natural sound to the toms. The 2025 upgrade also includes the new Full Range Throw Off system and the new counterpart on all Catalina snares, ensuring improved and more reliable functionality. Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts are included on all fittings for a pleasant feel for the drummer, and the pressure-cast bass drum claws isolated by rubber help maintain the new look of the bass drum hoops.
The 7-ply maple shells made with the Gretsch formula feature 30-degree bearing edges and a natural interior. The bass drums are equipped with telescoping bass drum spurs and matching maple hoops. The toms and snares are equipped with 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops. All shells come fitted with Remo® drumheads.
