Delivered unperforated, this shell gives you the freedom to position lugs, triggers, brackets, and vent holes according to your specifications. For reliable placement, you can use a Sparedrum LO16 or LO26 template. For a clean result on a hard wood like olive, it is recommended to use "hard wood" drill bits and to measure and verify the required drilling diameters for your hardware before proceeding.
Thanks to its construction with 7 plies of olive wood, this shell offers an articulate response with a clear attack and good sustain. The goal of the CVL process, which uses less glue than traditional methods, is to promote a more natural shell behavior: a livelier sound with a less "restricted" resonance feel and more expressive dynamics.
