Epiphone, in collaboration with Gibson Custom, is very proud to present the 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue, an astonishingly authentic Inspired by Gibson Custom reissue of the first Les Paul Goldtops equipped with a humbucker, offering the look and performance of the Les Paul at an affordable price. The body is made of genuine mahogany with a solid maple top. The finish is done in a new Vintage Gloss version of the classic Gold color, giving it a vintage look without appearing too aged. The guitar's one-piece neck is designed with a 50s Rounded Medium C profile and a long neck for excellent stability and durability. The rosewood neck is adorned with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets, as on the original 1957 models. The Epiphone logo and the words "LesPaul Model" are silk-screened on the headstock, in the Gibson "open book" style. The hardware is nickel, including the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, the historical reissue Gibson aluminum Stop Bar, and the deluxe Epiphone "SingleRing" Keystone tuners. The electronics are also top-notch, with two US Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 3 magnets, hand-wired to CTS pots, BlackBeauty oil-filled capacitors, and a 1/4" selector and output jack. A historically inspired hard case with a brown exterior and pink interior and Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics is also included.
