Made in partnership with Gibson Custom, it offers vintage looks and performance at an affordable price. All the classic features for which the 1960 Les Paul Standard model is known and loved are present here, including a one-piece mahogany body with a long neck for increased stability and durability, a comfortable and fast SlimTaper profile, and a rosewood fingerboard. It also features mother-of-pearl inlays, an aged Epiphone logo, and the words "LesPaul Model" silk-screened on the Gibson "openbook" style headstock. This new version has a mahogany body topped with a beautiful AAA flame maple top. The electronics are equally impressive, with two Gibson USA Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets hand-wired to CTS pots, oil-filled BlackBeauty capacitors, and a Switchcraft selector. The Vintage Gloss finish gives the guitar a vintage look without making it appear too aged and is nicely complemented by the nickel hardware, including Epiphone Keystone Deluxe "Double Ring" tuners. This model is perfect for players who love the vintage look of the classic 1959 Les Paul Standard but who want a more comfortable neck profile.
