The Axis guitar is offered with a roasted and flamed maple neck, 22 stainless steel frets, and a quilted maple top. The guitar retains the features that made it a classic, such as the always comfortable asymmetrical neck, the double-locking tremolo, and the custom DiMarzio humbuckers. With a maple top on a basswood body, this combination of woods and pickups is a perfect recipe for achieving hard rock sounds, but it also offers subtle dynamic response at lower volume levels when needed.
