Here is the CUSTOM 24-08 SEMI-HOLLOW 40th Anniversary limited edition, celebrating four decades of PRS guitars. The Custom 24-08 retains most of the fundamental features of the original Custom—the iconic instrument that started it all in 1985—but offers even more versatility thanks to its TCI pickups and mini EQ switches. This limited edition instrument also features a semi-hollow body, a ziricote fingerboard and headstock veneer, and a set of special inlays.
The CUSTOM 24-08 SEMI-HOLLOW 40th Anniversary is equipped with a figured maple 10 Top top, a mahogany body and neck with a ziricote fingerboard. This wood combination, along with our drying processes, creates a stable and resonant foundation. The semi-hollow construction delivers an even more organic tone, while the F-hole adds an elegant visual touch.
Now made with American Alnico and updated specifications, the TCI pickups are designed to deliver a full, musical sound reminiscent of single-coil and soapbar tones. The two mini EQ switches act as high-pass filters when engaged (in the up position), cutting bass frequencies and allowing highs to pass for added clarity and musical treble.

John and I felt they offered a different but equally versatile sound that played an important role in the musicality of that guitar. Other features of this instrument include a 24-fret, 25-inch scale neck with “Old School” bird inlays, designed to feel familiar from the moment you pick it up, a patented PRS Gen III tremolo, and Phase III locking tuners with “Wing” buttons to ensure perfect tuning stability.
