Born with the Custom 24 that shaped PRS?s identity since the 1980s, this 2025 Piezo version translates the flagship model?s aesthetics and ergonomics into a hybrid approach designed for modern reality: switching from a saturated riff/lead duo to a bright "folk" texture without changing instruments. Made in the USA within the Core range, it shines in the ?Dark Cherry Sunburst? finish and features highly precise luthiery.
Designed for the ambitious intermediate player as well as studio or touring professionals, it excels in rock, pop, funk, fusion, prog, melodic metal, and film/ambient music. The piezo expands the possibilities: clear arpeggios, shimmering pads, credible acoustic doubling, or layered tracks in recording.
The PRS DMO humbuckers offer an open and defined range, with firm lows, singing mids, and silky highs. The 5-position selector multiplies nuances: punch in humbucking mode, snap and articulation in intermediate positions. The mahogany/maple combination provides warmth, projection, and natural sustain, while the Gen III vibrato preserves harmonics and accurate tuning return.
The Piezo LR Baggs/PRS system adds precise acoustic tones, controlled by a 3-position selector and a blend control. With two 6.35 mm jacks, you can either separate piezo and magnetic outputs to dedicated rigs or merge them on a single line via the Blend for a ?ready-to-mix? sound on stage.
6-string electric string set gauge 10-46 (PRS original setup recommended), strap with secure attachment systems, curved capo compatible with 10" / 254 mm radius, quality 6.35 mm instrument cable, and stable stand. Hard case included; a flight case is recommended for frequent air travel.
