Fans of finger picking will be delighted but also nomad guitarists, happy with this new Signature Michel Haumont model which presents a breathtaking quality / price ratio ...
On the program: electroacoustics with a small body, a parlor format which is reminiscent of Renaissance guitars, with a rather wide neck which is singularly comfortable over its entire length, an instrument whose sober and refined style suggests a grip as soon as possible, hic et nunc.
An exemplary finish. A soundboard in solid Sitka spruce, AAA quality, is the pinnacle of the genre to ensure a natural, balanced response, beyond its accomplished aesthetic. And what wood could go better than the ovangkol with its impressive grain and yellow-brown hues with copper highlights? In addition, like the oval rosette marked with the Lâg Occitan cross, the logo of the head as well as the signature MH in mother-of-pearl add this classy je-ne-sais-quoi that places the model among the most successful in moment.
An ideally suited sound. But what about the sound? Surprisingly, given the dimensions of the instrument, the power is very present with a precise projection which confirms the primary destination of this guitar: playing with the right hand to the fingers, a way of playing made easier by the center distance widened strings near the bridge. The ovangkol delivers clarity and depth which combine with the warm sound of the table, characteristics that are found once the TS-MH-PE is connected thanks to the Fishman preamp which faithfully respects the natural acoustic sound.
A real Signature. A guitar that ostensibly announces what it is: a model intended for play with finesse where each detail of the interpretation is highlighted, while retaining a really amazing volume for this format of body. Top of the range which imposes itself in the same way in the choice of wood or mechanical, impeccable. And it is therefore no coincidence that this TSE-MH bears the signature of Michel Haumont, which for many years has symbolized harmonious play with the greatest French artists.
