The Catalina Maple hardware includes the round "gas cap" bass drum mount and the improved GTS Tom Suspension System 2025, a low-profile, out-of-shell mounting system that provides significantly longer sustain and a more natural sound to the toms. The 2025 upgrade also includes the new Full Range Throw Off system and the new counterpart on all Catalina snare drums, ensuring improved and more reliable functionality. Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts are included on all fittings for a pleasant feel for the drummer, and the pressure-cast bass drum claws isolated by rubber help maintain the bass drum hoops’ new appearance.
The 7-ply maple shells made with the Gretsch formula have 30-degree bearing edges and a natural interior. The bass drums are equipped with telescoping bass drum spurs and matching maple hoops. The toms and snare drums feature 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops. All shells come with Remo® heads.
