The Catalina Maple hardware includes the round "gas cap" bass drum mount and the improved GTS Tom Suspension System 2025, a low-profile, shell-mounted suspension system that provides significantly longer sustain and a more natural sound for the toms. The 2025 upgrade also includes the new Full Range Throw Off system and the new counterpart on all Catalina snare drums, ensuring improved and more reliable functionality. Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts are included on all fittings for a pleasant feel for the drummer, and the pressure-cast bass drum claws isolated by rubber help maintain the new look of the bass drum hoops.
The 7-ply maple shells made with the Gretsch formula have 30-degree bearing edges and a natural interior. The bass drums are equipped with telescopic bass drum spurs and matching maple hoops. The toms and snare drums come with 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops. All shells are equipped with Remo® heads.
