The Adam Audio T5V is a nearfield monitoring speaker with two-way design that is very affordable, optimized for small control rooms. Despite its 5" woofer, the T5Vs frequency response extends down to 45 Hz. The U-ART tweeter, a revolutionary solution for high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget, reaches up to 25 kHz and is paired with a high-precision waveguide. This waveguide offers the same level of projection control as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used on ADAM Audios flagship Series S monitors. It ensures perfectly even high-frequency dispersion and provides an incredibly wide sweet spot, allowing you to move more freely while working.
Its beveled baffle with a rear bass reflex port and compact size allow you to place the speaker anywhere in your room, regardless of its size. The T5V also features DSP-controlled equalizers and crossovers, as well as various analog connections. The T5V includes a Class D amplifier delivering 50 W for the woofer and another Class D amplifier with 20 W for the U-ART tweeter. Each pair of speakers can produce sound pressure levels up to 106 dB SPL. Its excellent acoustic characteristics, small footprint, and incredible price-to-performance ratio make the T5V the monitoring speaker of choice for music, video, and broadcasting productions in small studios. And if you need more bass, the T5V is compatible with the ADAM Audio T10S subwoofer.
The new 1.9" ribbon tweeter U-ART, used notably in the Series T models, is made from a high-tech polyamide film. It offers an extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz with exceptional sound quality something unprecedented in monitoring speakers at this price point, providing a revolutionary solution for high-resolution recording and mixing without breaking the bank. Unlike dome or cone tweeters that use a piston to move air and reproduce sound, the U-ART tweeter employs a pleated ribbon that sucks air into its folds and alternately pushes it out as the folds expand and contract according to the incoming audio signal. This design produces four times more air movement than a piston tweeter, resulting in increased sound pressure levels (SPL) and lower distortion. The U-ART tweeter is complemented by a high-precision waveguide, which offers the same dispersion control as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used on ADAM Audios flagship Series S monitors. This waveguide ensures perfectly even high-frequency dispersion and provides an incredibly wide sweet spot, allowing you to move more freely while working.
The HPS (High-frequency Propagation System) waveguide was originally designed by ADAM Audio using the latest computer modeling techniques for the S-ART tweeter found in the Series S. It promotes uniform sound projection, wide horizontally but very focused vertically. This helps minimize unwanted reflections from horizontal surfaces of key studio furniture (such as mixing consoles), ensuring a consistent image and creating a wide, stable, and well-controlled sweet spot even at high output levels. The U-ART tweeter used in the Series T is equipped with a high-precision waveguide that provides the same level of projection control as the HPS waveguide used on ADAM Audios flagship Series S monitors.
