For all sensitive inputs, live, studio, or even installation, the RedNet MP8R guarantees you the prestigious Focusrite sound in all circumstances. Transparent, with an impressive dynamic range, it gives a leading role to all sound sources.
Better twice than once.
Like the RedNet 4, the RedNet MP8R is an eight-channel mic/line preamp interfaced with the Dante protocol. In addition to the preamp section which benefits from some notable improvements, the RedNet MP8R features RJ45 ports and redundant power supplies for maximum system reliability.
Focusrite's DNA is the preamp.
The RedNet MP8R particularly excels with an input level of +28 dBu! Each channel has a -20 dB pad, polarity inversion, two impedance settings (high and low), and better common mode rejection. With plenty of headroom, virtually no noise, and a very uniform response across the entire gain range, the RedNet MP8R exceeds sound engineers' expectations.
The icing on the cake.
Even though the RedNet MP8R has eight high-end mic inputs, it is actually a 16-channel source on the Dante network. Each mic input is "split" into two. The first direct stream responds to the channel gain control. The second stream passes through the DSP and its gain detection management. The DSP maintains a constant output level for the second signal, regardless of the input gain setting. This is an easy way to send a high-quality "audio split" to a second engineer for mixing, broadcasting, or monitoring.
Network remote control.
Because the RedNet MP8R integrates into large infrastructures, Focusrite allows easy control and rerouting of signals via a simple software control panel. No matter the device's location in the installation, access to the RedNet network is done from the computer and allows full control over every device connected to the Dante network.
The RedNet MP8R is an 8-channel redundant remote-controllable mic preamplifier and an A/D converter for Dante.
