The Neve 8816 concentrates the sonic DNA of the brand's large consoles into 2 U, while meeting the demands of today's digital audio workstations. Designed as a companion to a DAW, it offers the Neve analog signature and modern recall management, without the clutter of mic preamps or EQ when they are not needed.
Perfect for producers and mixers who work "in the box" but want to regain the cohesion, stereo width, and density of an analog bus. Whether in a fixed studio or mobile setup, the 8816 allows you to sum 16 converter outputs, insert your favorite processors on the Mix, and control two pairs of monitors with imperceptible latency on the summing side.
Each channel includes the essentials of analog mixing: level, pan, mute, and "Cue" function to quickly build a balance or artist listen. The Master section features several solo modes to check your sources, an insert on the Mix to integrate a stereo compressor or equalizer, as well as A/B monitoring on two sets of speakers, complemented by an integrated headphone output and talkback mic.
The USB recall interface ensures instant return to session settings, and the optional digital outputs facilitate capturing your analog sum into the DAW. Need more inputs? Multiple units can be daisy-chained to expand the number of channels.
