I bought my first Telecaster 27 years ago. It was an American Standard in White Blonde. I sold it a few years later and of course regretted it... Since then, quite a few guitars have come and gone... I never found the same feelings as with this guitar... Nostalgic for this guitar, I had been interested for some time in the AM Pro 2 Telecaster and the Vintage 2 1951 model. I saw a lot of videos and reviews (Neck that sticks, that is thick...) Yes, the AM Vintage 2 model is made like in 1951 and has the characteristics of these instruments. Yes, the U-shaped neck is bigger than the C or D... Yes, the finish is different than on the AM Pro 2 but it will age very well over time... Having hesitated with the slightly cheaper Pro 2 model, I can only say one thing: The American Vintage 2 is what many guitarists look for in a Telecaster. This guitar has MOJO, it immediately gives off a great feeling when you have it on your lap. A 3-position selector, no unnecessary frills, pickups that deliver! Having tried many other models from other series, I do not regret this purchase and highly recommend it!!! The downside may be its price but even then it positions itself between the custom shop and the American Pro and other series from Mexico or Japan. I highly recommend this instrument!!!
