Product discovered somewhat by chance on the web. The purpose of acquiring a mini electric bass was to overcome the drawbacks of my Ibanez PNB 14E electroacoustic bass (parlor format): high action and sympathetic string resonances through the body, which "pollute" my recordings.
Given the agreement of many reviews regarding the excellent value for money of this Squier Mini Precision Bass, I was tempted. And I am not disappointed with this purchase. Certainly, it does not allow the usual slap playing sound, but that is not part of my usual repertoire either (and if needed, I have a good synth on my arranger keyboard).
I specify that it is used only in a personal mini-studio context. So the sound can be manipulated if needed in a DAW. That is why I do not make a judgment regarding its sound, which is relatively conventional. But I do not see why it could not be used within an orchestra performing pop music.
