A musician of the London Symphony Orchestra, he encountered difficulties making his instrument resonate within London's Royal Festival Hall as he wished. He therefore decided to create himself what he needed. Having become a worldwide reference for brass accessories in half a century, the company employs some of the most skilled craftsmen in Great Britain to offer each player the means to express all their talent.
By adding weight to these mouthpiece models, Denis Wick allows musicians to produce a sound with better projection and stability. Adding material around the mouthpiece reduces vibration dispersion and increases the transfer of sound energy directly to the instrument, resulting in a fuller and warmer sound.
