Inspired by classic 1960s British EL84 circuits, the P18C modernizes the 18 W formula by adding multi-level attenuation and a convenient channel chaining feature. It positions itself as a compact "club/studio" combo, more portable than a head + cabinet setup, without sacrificing character or usable volume on stage.
Ideal for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a responsive and expressive amp. In the studio, the attenuation allows pushing the tubes without disturbing neighbors. In rehearsals and on small to medium stages, the 18 W provide sufficient level with a nice presence in the mix. Its natural playground covers blues, classic rock, indie, pop, and roots, from slightly gritty clean tones to sustained crunch.
The P18C offers two distinct channels, each equipped with Volume and Tone controls, accessible via four inputs (Channel 1 High/Low, Channel 2 High/Low). The "Cascade" switch allows chaining the channels to increase gain and harmonic density without using pedals. The internal attenuator provides four power levels (18 / 7 / 1 / 0.5 W), convenient for adapting dynamics to each context. The onboard tremolo features Speed and Intensity controls. On the rear panel, two 6.35 mm jack speaker outputs and an 8 or 16-ohm impedance selector facilitate use with an external cabinet.
Tube-driven (preamp 3 x 12AX7, power 2 x EL84), the P18C delivers a British tone full of harmonics: bright cleans with a slight "chime," dynamic crunch that responds to picking attack and guitar volume knob, then a singing saturation with pleasant natural compression. The headroom remains moderate, ideal for quickly achieving organic overdrive at reasonable volume. The 12-inch Celestion Greenback emphasizes smooth mids and tight lows, perfect for carving out space in a band mix.
