Marshall VINTAGE - COMBO MINI 20 WATTS SILVER JUBILEE - 2525C

Description

The JCM25/50 Silver Jubilee Series was produced in 1987 to celebrate 25 years of Marshall Amplification and 50 years of Jim Marshall being in the music business.
Inspired by this acclaimed series the 20 Watt Mini Jubilee combo and ‘small box’ head combine classic Silver Jubilee preamp tone, features and styling in a lower power, ‘mini’ design.
This contemporary ‘mini’ take on the Jubilee Series features: an ECC83 & EL34 valve-set, High/Low output switching, (20 Watt to 5 Watt), FX Loop and independent 4/8/16 Ohm speaker outputs. The 2525C combo is loaded with a single 12” Celestion G12M Greenback speaker.
In keeping with classic Jubilee tone, Mini Jubilee features preamp circuitry taken from the 2555X which was launched in 2015 and made using the original diagrams.
The amp also features classic silver vinyl and chrome plated panelling to complete the Jubilee look.
The 2525 Mini Jubilee is expertly crafted and is designed, engineered and constructed to the highest possible standards at the Marshall factory in Bletchley, England.

The product is excellent, top-notch build quality. If you are looking for THE Marshall SOUND, this is the amp you need. Surprisingly, the clean sound is excellent. You will have a lot of versatility. My only regret, I bought it on woodbrass 1 month ago at 1199 euros minus 10 percent discount. Today it is at 929 euros. For those who did not make the same mistake as me by buying it before the holidays, go for it.

Hello, this Marshall amp has enough power for small stages and can be very well used at home. The clean and crunch sounds are excellent. Of course, you can clearly find the Marshall tone on the crunch sounds. Only one small regret though: not being able to switch the crunch sound via the footswitch. You can only switch the clean and saturated channels. Otherwise, it's flawless.

Hello everyone, Here is my review of ordering a MARSHALL 2525C amp. Order placed via Chronopost (10€ shipping for 24h delivery) on Sunday morning around 11:00, amp available at a Chronopost branch on Tuesday morning at 8:00, so no complaints about delivery times, it's 8:10 and the amp is loaded in the trunk of my car. However, due to lack of vigilance, I did not see that the box on one side is open along its entire height! I think customs wanted to check the contents, fortunately, the cutter used for this check did not damage the amp, lucky! So I can only advise you to be extra careful on this point! When placing the order for my amp, the site shows the following reference: MARSHALL VINTAGE - COMBO MINI 20 WATTS SILVER JUBILEE - 2525C On the photo showing the front of the amp (non-contractual I suppose as everywhere else), it says: JCM 25-50 MODEL 2525C That's exactly the product I want to order, so I place the order, there is a small 13% discount, so it gives me the feeling of making a good deal. When unpacking the amp, I actually discover that the front has the reference: SILVER JUBILEE - MODEL 2525C - STUDIO However, a friend advised me, without justifying it, to take a JCM 25-50 MODEL 2525C and not the SILVER JUBILEE - MODEL 2525C - STUDIO version... On the Woodbrass site, a chat window asks if you have a question, I take the opportunity to ask about the difference between the non-STUDIO and STUDIO versions of this amp, once I enter my question, I get the answer that no one is available to answer even though it is Wednesday morning and 11:00... At Woodbrass, wouldn't it be more logical to only offer chat questions if someone is available to answer??? So I still don't know the answer to this question... Another point where Woodbrass should improve, I received at least 3 emails and 3 SMS warning me that my amp would be available, but it has been at my place for a long time!!! It gives the impression that Woodbrass does not know the status of the delivery... Amp test: I had dreamed for 35 years of owning a Gibson SG and an amp to play some AC/DC riffs, with this amp, I have the sound I have been looking for a long time! Some online reviews indicated it, a friend advised me this reference, so I am fully satisfied, the sound is saturated, thick, round, I love it!!! The clean sound is very good too... I had a DSL 5C, I must admit it has nothing to do with it... Freddy... (Show more)
