The rebound is quite similar to the snare drum and the base grips well to any surface.

well listen I'm not unhappy with my purchase even if it's not at all the pad I had ordered, since the delivery was normal and well packed I won't make a fuss only it's a pity that my pad doesn't look at all like the one shown in the photo at the same time it's great so only happiness.
