GForce IconDrum is a virtual instrument of the drum machine type designed to quickly program punchy grooves with an iconic 80s sound signature, while benefiting from current production tools. It is suitable both for recreating iconic beats and for creating original rhythms, thanks to faithful raw kits and pre-processed kits that fit instantly into a mix. In the studio, IconDrum can be used as the main source of electronic drums or as a character layer to reinforce acoustic drums, claps, snares, and kicks.
The engine is based on 100 sounds with a distinctive character, featuring a selection of kits capturing the direct sound of the original machine, as well as professionally processed kits for a final result without multiplying plugins in your DAW. With over 70 preset kits, you can switch from a classic aesthetic to modern and hybrid variations instantly.
Each track has dedicated controls to shape the groove and texture: Solo, Mute, Delay and Reverb sends, Pitch, Decay, Pan, HP/LP filters, and Gain. The separate outputs facilitate detailed mixing (external processing per element, parallel buses, precise automation).
IconDrum includes a 3-slot master effects chain to finalize punch and color: distortion, multi-mode filter, compressor, EQ, bitcrusher, gate, and phaser. On the performance side, the included MIDI files serve as an immediate starting point, and integration is optimized via GM Map, MIDI Learn, and programmable MIDI CC response.
