Steven Slate Trigger is a virtual drum plug-in designed for drum replacement and drum layering in production. It allows you to transform an acoustic drum take into a more impactful, controlled sound perfectly suited to demanding styles (rock, metal, modern pop, urban music), while preserving the playing intention. It integrates seamlessly into a mixing workflow to reinforce a snare, add more attack to a kick, or homogenize toms.
The phase-locked multi-layer triggering engine helps maintain a realistic feel and better coherence in the low end and transients. You can stack multiple samples per instance to sculpt a custom sound, from modern "punch" to a more organic tone.
Each sample layer offers customization settings such as velocity and dynamic control, envelope, and independent levels. The engine supports up to 127 articulations per instrument, up to 127 velocity layers, and up to 127 alternates per layer to reduce the "machine gun" effect and enhance naturalness.
The audio to MIDI conversion feature allows you to capture a performance from a recording, then correct, double, or trigger another virtual instrument. A practical advantage to speed up editing and ensure a clean final result.
