Fretless EBX is a sound library designed to enrich your productions with a realistic, expressive, and nuanced fretless bass. While a fretted bass provides attack and a "framed" intonation, the fretless opens up a more vocal language: smooth glissandos, subtle vibratos, natural legato, and note transitions that breathe. It shines equally in sophisticated pop and rock, as well as funk, fusion, jazz, film music, ambient, or modern productions seeking a more singing and emotional low end.
This EBX aims for a fast workflow: you start with an inspiring sound (presets), feed the instrument with suitable grooves (MIDI), then fine-tune the character according to your arrangement. The result is ideal for melodic lines à la Jaco, soft and "singing" accompaniments, or more percussive parts where every vibrato immediately reveals the fretless signature.
The strength of Fretless EBX comes from the quality of the sampling and the attention to details that make a difference on a fretless: the continuity between notes, the sliding sensation, the harmonic richness in the sustain, and that slightly "woody" warmth that adds depth to the low spectrum.
