This expansion was designed to offer a distinctive sonic aesthetic: bright, metallic, precise, and decidedly contemporary. The goal is to achieve a drum sound that maintains definition at fast tempos, double kick patterns, and guitar layers, while preserving an "album-ready" feel immediately usable.
At the heart of Duality II EZX, you have a complete kit built to serve as a reliable foundation for most productions. Additional elements (multiple kick drums, snares, and cymbals) allow you to adjust response, attack, and brightness or create hybrid setups to match your tuning, tempo, and orchestration.
The included presets offer different interpretations of the kit and "ready-to-record" variations, ranging from more direct balances to more creative approaches. The dedicated MIDI library, performed by Alex Landenburg, facilitates writing: you can start from coherent grooves and fills, then edit velocity and articulation to personalize the playing and enhance musical intent.
