The M1 delivers a wide and balanced frequency response from
20 Hz to 20 kHz, with exemplary linearity across the entire usable frequency range. Its internal preamp stage, linear between 30 Hz and 20 kHz, preserves signal integrity regardless of the source. The sound is distinguished by a
natural presence in the midrange, smooth treble, and detailed bass without masking. Thanks to the
M7 Thiersch Mylar capsule—heir to the legendary design used on great vintage German microphones—the M1 delivers a rich and organic harmonic dimension, typical of the finest tube microphones.

The M1 is based on an
completely new circuit, specifically designed to optimize dynamics and minimize noise. It incorporates a
Russian military-grade tube, selected for its thermal stability and longevity. The custom microphone and power supply transformers, developed by
Pikatron, ensure precise and consistent signal conversion, with a low output impedance of 200 ohms. The entire assembly is housed in a robust metal body, with a meticulous finish and an acoustically stable design that minimizes unwanted resonances.
Ergonomics and Flexibility
Thanks to its detented polar pattern selector (notched potentiometer), the M1 offers variable polar patterns ranging from omnidirectional to figure-8, including cardioid, with a "full cardioid" option accessible from the power supply unit (PSU). This flexibility makes it ideal for solo recordings, vocal duets, stereo pairs, or mid-side configurations. The microphone comes with a 7 m (23 ft)
Mogami Neglex 3172 cable equipped with
Binder 7 Pin and
