The PRE-73 Jr MKII is a single-channel vintage-style microphone and instrument preamplifier. The signal path uses only discrete components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors. The input and output are transformer balanced, using two different transformers, each optimized for its purpose. This is how audio components were built before integrated circuits were available.
