At the heart of the NUX range: uncompromising versatility
Designed as the versatile model in the MG series, the MG-30 uses “True Simulation of Analog Circuit” technology to recreate the feel of a tube rig. Firmware updates regularly enrich the sound palette (new amps and effects), positioning the MG-30 as a sustainable and scalable choice for demanding guitarists.
Who is it for, and what is it for?
From motivated beginners to experienced musicians, the MG-30 covers a wide spectrum: blues, classic rock, modern metal, pop, and ambient. Its headphone output and dedicated output modes make it ideal for working quietly, setting up a compact pedalboard, playing on stage, streaming, or producing in a home studio with a simple and reliable USB stream.
Customizable controls and creative workflow
The MG-30 offers 11 blocks that can be routed in series or parallel, with footswitch and scene assignments to activate multiple blocks with a single gesture. Dedicated controls (bias on virtual tube amps, 3-band EQ, compressors, noise gate, delays, and reverbs including shimmer) allow you to fine-tune each preset. The QuickTone editor makes it easy to edit, load third-party IRs, route USB, and update, while the effects loop integrates your favorite pedals at the exact point in the chain.
The sound
TSAC-HD modeling provides a responsive attack, ample dynamics, and beautiful harmonic richness. From crystal-clear cleans to organic crunch, right up to the tight “brown sound” saturation of the 5150 (VIVO amp), the rendering remains precise and musical. Airy reverbs and creative delays blend perfectly with modulations for ambient textures, while IR import refines the color of the cabinet in the mix.
