The FetHead Transformer is a high quality in-line microphone preamplifier. It provides a very warm and thick yet articulate sound for dynamic and ribbon microphones. The desirable character of the FetHead Transformer is a very good addition to interface preamps that sound rather flat. A new Class A jFET circuit combined with a custom wound nickel core transformer provides 28dB of transformer-infused gain.
