Artisanal Japanese manufacturing.
JICO, acronym for Nippon Precision Jewel Industry Co. LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer well known among enthusiasts of high-quality cartridges and diamonds for turntables, both audiophiles and DJs alike. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, with origins dating back to 1873, began its history by manufacturing sewing needles, a precision activity that already foreshadowed its future! Producing diamonds and cantilevers since 1966 that have made its reputation, the brand has continuously innovated while preserving traditional manufacturing techniques, and now offers its own cartridge holders, cartridges, and diamonds for the delight of all vinyl lovers.
The ideal replacement for the legendary Shure N44G.
The Shure N44G stylus earned its reputation among audiophiles and DJs worldwide thanks to its smooth and musical response, as well as the exceptional stereo image it provides. The N44G Aurora developed by JICO offers you these same legendary characteristics, thanks to a Type S tubular aluminum alloy cantilever, precisely crafted to closely match the original Shure cantilevers, while providing an optimal 7° attack angle.
JICO favored the use of a full spherical diamond (known as "nude") for this stylus, whose tip is cut from a single piece of diamond. More costly and higher quality than glued tips, this nude diamond is lighter and offers much better groove tracking of your vinyl, as well as more efficient transmission of vibrations for a much richer sound.
A stylus designed primarily for DJs.
This N44G Aurora stylus offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds similar to authentic Shure styli, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The recommended tracking force has been increased, from a maximum of 1.5g for the Shure model to 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better groove tracking for the most demanding turntablism sessions. The attack angle has been upgraded, from 10° for the Shure diamond to 7° on this JICO version, for even more faithful playback quality. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model features a protective flap that folds over the stylus to prevent any harmful friction.
No longer stay in the shadows with the Aurora version!
JICO innovation, this Aurora version of the N44G is equipped with a stylus body made of special resin, composed of 100% Lumi Nova phosphorescent pigments, whose performance does not degrade over time! These phosphorescent styli will be both a valuable aid to quickly locate the position of your stylus in dark environments and will surely set you apart from all other DJs.
