Description

The F-2512E Maple combines two of Guild's most iconic specialties: 12-string and jumbo. With their rounded body, Jumbo format guitars have been Guild's strong point since 1954; the combination of this shape with the ever popular 12-string construction results in an acoustic instrument with full tones and impressive sounding. Built with a solid spruce top, maple sides and an arched maple back, the F-2512E has the crisp, loud tone characteristic of Guild's twelve-string guitars. Guild's signature arched design allows for excellent volume and projection, long sustain, and a full, lush sound. The F-2512E is equipped with AP-1 electronics designed by Fishman for Guild, a Pau Ferro fingerboard and bridge, bone saddles, a pearly rosette, a "tortoise shell" pickguard. turtle "and a natural satin polyurethane finish.

Very beautiful instrument, well finished, offering good value for money. This is my first twelve-string. I had never played this type of instrument before. It is also the first time I play on a jumbo size. From the first chords, the pleasure was there. The neck is very easy to play. The myth of "the unplayable twelve-string" has definitely fallen: I was able to play a piece (strumming) right away. The sound is clear, projected, and very rich. In short, I recommend this guitar to try twelve-string guitar whose sound is unique. Woodbrass: impeccable service, very fast delivery. The only criticism is that some strings are already oxidized.

I bought this guitar because I couldn't find a 6-string jumbo with a nut wider than 45mm. I put on 13-56 strings instead of the original set by replacing the nut that I made myself. The result is not bad. I appreciated the neck which makes playing comfortable, especially the flat heel that facilitates access to the high notes. Good finish.
