The 2,400 W Class D amplifier powers the 18-inch driver with ample headroom. The internal DSP manages protection and dynamic behavior: an intelligent limiter safeguards the transducer, while dedicated LEDs indicate power, signal presence, and clipping for immediate visual monitoring.
The DR18SUB offers balanced XLR inputs and outputs. In Link mode, it passes a full-range signal to the satellites; in Xover mode, only frequencies above the crossover point are sent to the speakers. The cutoff frequency is selectable at 90 or 120 Hz depending on the application. A level potentiometer adjusts gain, and a phase inversion switch helps optimize summation with the tops.
Capable of reaching up to 129 dB over a 30 to 150 Hz range, the DR18SUB delivers deep, clean bass with low distortion. The M20 threading allows mounting on a pole for positioning a full-range speaker above the subwoofer, saving stage space.
