The Neve 88M is aimed at singers, producers, beatmakers, and engineers looking to capture vocals, guitars, synths, or percussion with a strong analog identity and flawless digital workflow. Powered via USB 3.0 bus, it supports both mobile sessions and demanding home studios, with optimized latency for recording and software monitoring.
At the heart of the 88M, two preamps inherited from the 88RS, coupled with Marinair transformers, deliver solid transients, structured lows, and silky highs. Balanced inserts on channels 1 and 2 allow inserting a compressor or equalizer between the preamp and conversion, ideal for shaping your sound right at the source.
AD/DA conversion up to 24-bit / 192 kHz ensures a precise stereo image, low noise floor, and wide dynamic range. Thanks to the ADAT I/O, the 88M expands from 2 to 10 inputs and 10 outputs, accommodating, for example, an additional preamp rack for drums, ensembles, or live recordings.
For monitoring, the stereo headphone output and balanced TRS outputs provide coherent and powerful listening, suitable for tracking as well as nearfield mixing.
