The instrument is not adjusted at all. The string action is too high, a quick visit to the luthier is necessary or do it yourself. In terms of sound without an amp, the power is more than enough to play solo or accompany ukuleles. With an amp, it becomes a real bass with a little "box" sound added that makes us think a little bit of the double bass. The strings are steel and it's honestly cool, the feel is the same as a bass, personally I prefer that to rubber strings, there's no finger noise sticking, you can do slides and slap without constraint. A bass I take everywhere! And the case is not bad!
