Valve blockTo meet the demands of today's jazz musicians, who seek a powerful and well-defined sound, the conventional one-piece valve body has been replaced by a two-piece design. This process improves the instrument's sound while increasing playing resistance.
One-piece bellThe one-piece yellow brass bell plays an important role in achieving a bright sound and exceptional projection. Additionally, the side soldering of the bell, a process that involves attaching the braces to the bell's solder, allows the bell to vibrate more freely and achieve a greater sound opening.
Unlike traditional methods where a round-edged ring is used for the bell brace, on the second generation YTR-8310Z, Yamaha uses a so-called French ring. With its semi-flat edge, an extremely advanced technique, it increases playing comfort by providing greater sound feedback to the musician.
Signature mouthpieceThis Jazz mouthpiece features a deep, large cup, ideal for producing a rich and full sound. The rim and bore have been designed to provide the musician with the necessary agility while maintaining a rich and full tone.
