A Legendary Sonic Heritage, Redesigned in 1U
Born from the Rupert Neve Designs tradition, the Newton Channel condenses the DNA of classic consoles into a modern, reliable, and quick-to-adjust channel strip. More direct and accessible than the brand's historic channels, it prioritizes speed without sacrificing musicality or the harmonic signature that made RND famous.
For Demanding Engineers, Producers, and Creators
Designed to integrate seamlessly in both project studios and commercial or live sound environments, the Newton excels on vocals, acoustic instruments, keyboards, and close-mic sources. Its input stage accepts microphones as well as line levels, making it an excellent high-end mixing channel when used in pairs.
Features Designed for Sound and Workflow
Preamp and Dynamics Control: The Class A preamp delivers ample gain reserve and generous headroom. The ultra-smooth VCA compressor offers up to +20 dB of make-up gain and can be placed before or after the EQ to tailor the envelope to the context.
Precise Tonal Shaping: The 3-band EQ and sweepable high-pass filter, all with 31-position stepped potentiometers, allow for easy recall and both subtle and radical adjustments. The "Silk Red" and "Silk Blue" modes provide controlled harmonic saturation to thicken mids or brighten the upper spectrum.
Modern Integration: The transformer-coupled output stage and separate -6 dBu output enable richer textures without saturating the following device. The stereo link facilitates paired use on buses or stems, while the 19-inch 1U format optimizes rack space.
