The boost is equally useful for cutting through the band during solos or thickening a rhythm part in the chorus.
Live, the balanced XLR output is ideal if you play on a lightweight setup (amp, stage amp, or direct to PA). In the studio, it's a quick tool for recording clean, stable, and "finished" takes, with compression that responds well to fingerstyle as well as pick playing.
The compressor section offers a full set of controls to shape the feel under your fingers: Attack for responsiveness (sharper or smoother attack), Sustain for the amount of compression, Volume to adjust output level, Blend to mix compressed and dry signals (perfect for retaining punch), and Tone to adjust brightness and openness of the high end.
The boost section is independent, with a dedicated Boost control and a two-mode voicing switch: Flat for a neutral, transparent volume lift, or Mids for a boost focused on the midrange that can add slight saturation and help the guitar stand out in the mix.
