Raw Crash is neither hammered nor turned, giving it a very irregular profile and an unfinished looking surface. They are also not cut in a perfect circle, resulting in different shapes and sizes and a naturally rough edge (24 inches maximum diameter). Overall, these variations in profile, shape, size and edge consistency are what give these cymbals the very special sounds that make them so special.
In Large or Small
Available in Small Bell and Large Bell sizes, the Raw Crash offers a controlled, dry crash sound ideal for moderate volume situations. The dry character and well-defined ping also make them an excellent choice for an alternative ride cymbal. The Small Bell Raw Crash offers a more controlled sound with less overtones, while the Large Bell Raw Crash is more open with a very pronounced bell sound.
