Developed by Radial to provide solutions for audiovisual professionals, the passive active direct box PRO-AV2 was designed to simplify the management of signals coming from different sources, while eliminating the need for various adapters whose quality is often uneven. The stereo version of the PRO-AV1, the PRO-AV2 converts the high-impedance signals from consumer devices into low-impedance signals better suited for professional equipment, such as sound reinforcement systems.
Proverbial performance.
For Radial, the quality of manufacturing its products has always been a priority and has literally become proverbial. To illustrate this requirement, the PRO-AV2 is equipped with a pair of Radial Eclipse transformers specially developed for audiovisual applications, precisely converting impedance while ensuring a linear frequency response from 20 Hz to 18 kHz. The electromagnetic isolation provided by the transformers offers effective protection against interference from the external environment.
A simple and effective stereo interface.
To complement this exemplary build quality, the PRO-AV2 features a wide selection of consumer connections, allowing you to do without many adapters and interfaces. With its two stereo RCA, minijack, and jack channels, the PRO-AV2 can handle a large portion of consumer devices such as CD players or computers. Completed by a ground lift switch and a 15 dB attenuator, this passive DI can also be used with active instruments such as keyboards, guitars, or basses.

The Pro AV2 is the stereo version of the ProAV1. It is equipped with 2 high-quality Radial transformers used for impedance conversion and signal balancing. On the input side, there are 2 RCA, 2 x 6.35mm jacks, and 1 stereo 3.5mm jack. On the output side, the ProAV2 has 2 microphone-level XLR outputs. It can be used as a stereo DI or dual mono, with the 2 channels being completely independent. Its main application is interfacing stereo consumer equipment into a professional sound system.
