The Violet is a new way to approach distortion/overdrive, the result of a collaboration between Josh Scott and the famous Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio! Using this pedal is like adding a new ultra-flexible distortion channel to your favorite amp. The unique 3-band EQ sets the Violet apart from other popular distortion pedals. The mid control is placed before the distortion circuit, allowing you to shape the distortion in the preamp stage. This design choice enables the Violet to offer a wide range of tones, from overdrive to powerful modern distortion. The Bass and Treble controls are located more traditionally after the distortion circuit, providing a post-distortion adjustment that is both familiar and extremely flexible.
Controls
Volume: Overall volume.
Mid Freq: Sets the mid frequencies boosted or cut by the Middle control.
Gain: Amount of saturation.
Bass: Level of low frequencies.
Middle: Level of mid frequencies defined by Mid Freq.
Treble: Level of high frequencies.
