The Violet is a new way to approach distortion/overdrive, the result of a collaboration between Josh Scott and the renowned Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio! Using this pedal is like adding a new ultra-flexible distortion channel to your favorite amp. The unique 3-band EQ sets the Violet apart from other popular distortion pedals. The mid control is placed before the distortion circuit, allowing you to shape the distortion in the pre-amplification stage. This design choice enables the Violet to offer a wide range of tones, from overdrive to powerful modern distortion. The Bass and Treble controls are located more traditionally after the distortion circuit, providing a post-distortion adjustment that is both familiar and extremely flexible.
Controls
Volume: Overall volume.
Mid Freq: Sets the mid frequencies boosted or cut by the Middle control.
Gain: Amount of saturation.
Bass: Level of low frequencies.
Middle: Level of mid frequencies defined by Mid Freq.
Treble: Level of high frequencies.
