The pedals in the G series are fully analog recreations of the channels from the Revv Generator 120, designed as preamps or "amp-in-a-box" pedals. The v2 series features circuit revisions stemming from a decade of development, offering an organic feel. The G3 model, based on the Purple channel, provides a high clean gain with a focus on mids, precise attack for note clarity, and thicker bass thanks to the improved circuit.
The G3 has 3 Aggression modes controlled by a central selector. While they can roughly be considered as controlling the amount of distortion (Off = least, Blue = medium, Red = most), these 3 modes significantly alter the pedal's performance. The Red mode is the ideal setting for smooth and satisfying distortion, while the Off mode offers an amazing range of mid-gain tones that are touch-sensitive.
