Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5 Scratch Controller
Large jog wheels and MAGVEL FADER for dynamic scratching Scratch, mix in DJ battles and play intuitively on the DDJ-REV5, which combines an authentic scratching experience with innovative features. The large jog wheels are responsive, reliable and easy to handle. Offering a similar feel to classic CDJs, they each feature a display showing the playback position so you always know where you are in the track. You can also customise the feel of the jog wheel with the Jog Feel function, so you can find the jog “weight” that suits you best. The MAGVEL FADER is smooth, robust and ready to translate your every movement for highly accurate scratching. Scratch-style layout for total open-format freedom The DDJ-REV5's long tempo sliders are positioned horizontally above the deck sections, while the Performance Pads and FX paddles are in the mixer section, replicating the PLX turntable + DJM-S mixer set-up familiar to open-format DJs around the world. With the pads, levers and faders close at hand, you can combine scratching, pad manipulation and effects for more dynamic performances. Dedicated buttons for easy control of Stems Unleash your creativity and create mash-ups and remixes on the fly with the DDJ-REV5's Stems buttons. Your tracks will be divided into separate elements, or ‘Stems’, in the software: vocals, melody, bass and drums in Serato DJ Pro; or vocals, drums and inst. (other instruments, including bass and synthesizers) in rekordbox ? which you can then play separately. Stems Mute/Solo Isolate or mute the different Stems to create your own mash-ups on the fly. For example, you can play the instruments from one track on deck 1, then play the vocals from another track on deck 2 to create a mash-up. Stems Separate Isolate different stems of a track on different decks to create live remixes. For example, play the instruments of one track on Deck 1 while scratching the vocals on Deck 2. Or choose to isolate a Stem to add an effect only to that element of the track. Stem Level Use the EQ knobs to adjust the volume of individual Stems within a track. You can use the different stems with Deck Move, which allows you to easily move tracks from one deck to another, and with Dual Deck, which allows you to use both the left and right decks simultaneously. This makes it easy to create and control multiple mash-ups and remixes live at the same time. New Auto BPM Transition function for smooth transitions The DDJ-REV5 makes it easy to navigate between music genres with radically different tempos, thanks to the new Auto BPM Transition function. Choose a number of bars for the transition, and when you press the dedicated button, the track currently playing will gradually change tempo to match that of the track loaded on the other deck. This allows you to start the next track at the perfect moment. Since the BPM of the new track matches that of the previous track, the transition is seamless. You can also set the Stems, Auto Loop and Key Lock controls to be applied during the transition. These processes are automatic, so you don't need to manually adjust the tempo slider, leaving your hands free to manipulate other controls. New Piano Play mode for intuitive musical performances You'll find it more natural than ever to express yourself musically on the DDJ-REV5 thanks to the new Piano Play mode. Just like in Pitch Play mode, you can use the 16 Performance Pads to trigger a Cue point in different semitones, but the different pitch variations are now arranged on the pads to replicate a keyboard, with the “white” keys on the bottom row and the “black” keys above, just like playing a piano. You can choose from three scales, and even if you have no knowledge of music theory or scales, you'll find it very easy to play a tune thanks to the improved tone layout. Multiple inputs and outputs, plus 2 USB C ports for smooth DJ changes You can use the DDJ-REV5 at the centre of a setup thanks to its wide range of inputs and outputs, including a Master XLR output perfect for professional environments. 2 USB C ports for PC/Mac also allow you to easily switch between DJs at the touch of a button. Plug-and-play compatibility with Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox Choose your favourite software and start mixing straight away. Simply connect the DDJ-REV5 to a PC/Mac equipped with the latest version of Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox to use the application for free – no licence key or subscription required. The combination of analogue-inspired details and digital innovation While paying homage to open format DJing and scratch culture, the unique design of the DDJ-REV5 opens up new creative possibilities. The texture of the top plate of each jog wheel mimics that of a vinyl record to give an authentic scratching feel, and the fader section is protected by a sturdy metal panel that can withstand even the most intense scratching performances. The dedicated stem control buttons are aligned to visually represent how a track is composed of 4 elements, and even the shape of the DDJ-REV5 is new, with angular corners to mark the brand new field of possibilities offered by the controller.

Combo Pad mode Press two different Pad mode buttons simultaneously and you can use both modes at the same time. The different functions will be divided between the pads on the deck (1 mode will be assigned to the bottom 4 pads, the other to the top 4).
