Very happy with this purchase, very good value for money. Beautiful object very well finished, which sounds very good. The factory settings suit me perfectly.

I have had a few guitars in this price range, others higher, and if I compare with my Mexican Telecaster for example, the Yamaha is on a much higher level. The finish is excellent, the neck neither too thin nor too wide, the tuners hold the tuning. I am less convinced by the coil splits, it's a bit of a gimmick. The sound is that of P90s, less round and precise than a double humbucker, less crystalline and incisive than a single coil, and that's what I was looking for, but sound is a bit like aesthetics, very subjective. Otherwise, the model is available in a double humbucker version, everyone will find their happiness. Yamaha has a reputation for very well-finished instruments. With this model, it is not undeserved.
