Essential Information About the Sonicware Liven Evoke Synthesizer
- Hybrid Acoustronic Flux Oscillator engine with Backtide modulation for expressive timbres blending acoustic and digital sounds.
- 4-track architecture with multimode filters, 2 assignable LFOs, and amplitude envelope per track.
- Expanded palette: 34 sampled instruments, 20 waveforms and 2 noises, plus various arpeggiators.
- Integrated creativity: granular effect "Grain FX," reverb with 10 algorithms, and 64-step sequencer with Parameter Lock and probability.
A New Chapter in the Liven Family
With the Evoke, Sonicware expands the Liven series into a more "hybrid" territory: a digital core designed to sculpt sounds with an acoustic character, without sacrificing the spontaneity of the brand's grooveboxes. It positions itself as a versatile and inspiring model, ideal for complementing an existing Liven setup or serving as a compact creative hub.
For Texture Creators and Versatile Performers
Designed for producers of electro, ambient, IDM, synthwave, pop, and soundtrack music, the Liven Evoke suits motivated beginners as well as experienced musicians. Its portability and straightforward workflow make it a preferred companion both in the studio and live, as well as for sound experimentation and evolving soundscape design.
Features and Innovations
At the heart of the Evoke, the Acoustronic Flux Oscillator engine and its Backtide modulation fuse sampled instruments (pianos, strings, winds, percussion, ethnic timbres) with the flexibility of synthesis. You have 20 waveforms and 2 noises to build textures, in polyphonic, monophonic, or legato modes with adjustable glide. Each track offers amplitude envelope (attack/release), low/high/band-pass filters, and 2 freely assignable LFOs.
The 4-track sequencer holds up to 128 patterns (64 steps max each), with real-time recording, step-by-step live editing, long notes, transposition, and pattern chaining. Parameter Locks, independent levels/panning, step probability, and random playback modes multiply variations.
On the effects side, the granular " Grain FX " manipulates up to 12 grains with control over size, timing, level, direction, feedback, pitch, diffusion, and filters, also applicable to an external source via the line input. A powerful reverb offers 10 algorithms (from "Small" to "Mirage") for immersive spatialization.
Connectivity includes 5-pin MIDI DIN, 3.5 mm SYNC IN/OUT, and compatibility with MIDI clock/notes/controls, plus operation as an effects processor via the stereo line input. The interface combines a 27-key keyboard with hold, 15 value-locking potentiometers, an encoder for fine adjustments, and a clear LCD screen.
