Box of 10 reeds. The V12 reeds are cut from cane tubes with a diameter equivalent to that used for alto saxophone reeds. As a result, they are thicker at both ends than traditional reeds. They vibrate over a longer palette and provide a rich and deep sound. The thickest part gives body to the attack and also increases the reed's longevity. By comparison, a strength 3 reed is roughly equivalent to a traditional strength 2.5 reed.
