Gretsch owes its fame to its legendary maple shells ("The Gretsch Formula"). The Catalina Maple series offers the most economical maple set in the entire product range: the classic Gretsch sound combined with the modern and sleek design of the Catalina hardware. The 7-ply maple shells with the typical 30° Gretsch bevel, sturdy 2.3 mm steel hoops, a "Low Profile" tom mount, and Remo heads give the drum kit a fantastic and incomparable sound character.
The shells of the new Catalina Maple are 7-ply maple with a 30° bevel and feature the new round badge. They are equipped with Catalina mini lugs and stamped hoops (1.6 mm thick).
Also equipped with a new tom suspension system that is more discreet, lighter, and easier to use. It mounts on the L-rod 9010.
The shells are fitted with single-ply sanded Gretsch by Remo heads.
