After the success of its Teardrop mini guitars (Mini MK3), VOX is releasing another of its iconic designs: the Phantom. Originally launched in the 1960s, this original guitar marked its era. Vox is now reissuing it in this mini version while maintaining great playability, easy tuning, but above all an authentic tone. Available in two colors, here is the white version.

The VOX Phantom shape has held a special place in guitarists' hearts since its debut in the 1960s, introduced alongside the classic Teardrop shape. VOX is now proud to present this compact guitar heavily inspired by that iconic instrument.
Versatile, the new Vox MARK V mini guitar suits a wide range of scenarios. At home, in the studio, or on the road (especially with VOX amPlug or VGH headphone amps), it is a true instrument that will give you at least as much enjoyment as a full-sized guitar.
With its reduced size, narrower neck, and lightweight body, the VOX Mark V mini is easy to play, especially if you have small hands.
This new MARK V mini guitar features a short 476 mm scale length, but thanks to its heavier gauge strings, it can be tuned to standard E (E A D G B e), unlike most other mini guitars on the market. The nut is the same size as a regular guitar, but its 476 mm scale length represents three-quarters of that of a standard guitar. Yet, thanks to its clever design and standard tuning, the MARK V mini guitar can be played like a normal guitar without needing to adjust your fingering. In fact, due to the shorter neck, your fingers can even stretch further and play chords impossible on a standard neck guitar!
VOX has developed specific tuners with an 18:1 ratio to match the short scale of this instrument. This makes tuning the MARK V mini guitar as simple as a full-scale guitar.
The MARK V mini guitar is equipped with two high-quality single-coil pickups that provide the typical sixties tone, along with a three-position selector to vary the sounds.
The Phantom body shape may be even more unique than the Teardrop shape — the iconic design, known for its bold yet vintage look, has been a favorite of countless artists and guitarists. The MARK V mini guitar is available in two colors: white and black.
