The Akai Professional brand, famous for the many quality machines it has made available to artists and producers for several decades, presents its third iteration of its standalone master keyboard: the MPK Mini Play Mk3. This standalone alter ego of the brand's best-seller - the MPK Mini Mk3 - allows you to play wherever you want thanks to its battery operation capability and its built-in speaker, which will effectively broadcast anywhere one of the 128 instrument sounds or drums embedded in the MPK Mini Play Mk3's memory. It also retains all the software control capabilities of the standard MPK Mini Mk3, thanks to its USB-Midi port: a real Swiss army knife!

This new version of the MPK Mini Play is even better equipped than its predecessor to help you produce the perfect song. A new "Gen 2" keyboard, with improved touch and an ever more precise response to velocity, from the MPK Mini Mk3, now equips this third version. The 8 pads, directly from the brand's famous MPC systems, are perfect for quickly producing drum and percussion rhythms thanks to their improved velocity sensitivity. The speaker, the central element of this mobile master keyboard, has also undergone a major overhaul, giving it greater power and generating more generous bass.

The MPK Mini Play Mk3, in an ultra-compact format that's ideal for all your travels, can be powered in two ways via a selector on the back of the device: either via the USB port when connected to a computer (or even the USB port in your car!), or by batteries to give you increased mobility. The battery life has been increased to 14 hours for greater playing freedom with the 128 built-in instrument sounds, easily configurable thanks to the OLED screen and the 4 potentiometers above the pads. The MPK Mini Play Mk3 provides you with the Note Repeat and Full Level playing modes, taken from MPCs, to help you create percussive rhythms.

Extremely good product, the sounds are really better thanks to the effects which are very effective (attack, release, filter, resonance, reverb), the ergonomics are very intuitive, the speaker is not ridiculous at all, the headphone sound is very good, it also works well as a midi keyboard for a daw. The keyboard is quite firm, you can manage the velocity correctly. Plus: you can use the pads and the keyboard simultaneously Minus: only 8 presets
