The support provided with the VL21 violin microphone (a rubber piece that attaches to the base of the strings) amplifies the tapping of the fingers on the fingerboard (unwanted noise). So I reused the support from my old microphone (clip attached after the chinrest, fortunately compatible). Otherwise, the microphone produces a perfectly acceptable sound.
