Nutube technology gives the MV50 HG the ability to generate authentic and impressive sounds compared to its tube amp counterparts. The preamp circuit houses a revolutionary component called Nutube, consisting of an anode, a grid, and a filament, delivering a sound very close to that of traditional tubes. The MV50 HG (High Gain) effectively reproduces the dynamic character of a classic tube amplifier. Combined with the preamp section, a Class D power amplifier enables it to deliver sharp overdrive tones up to ultra-modern saturations.
A versatile tool.
The MV50 HG is a mini amp compatible with any type of speaker cabinet. To this end, two settings, Flat & Deep, are located on the rear panel. When connected to a small cabinet like the BC108, the Deep mode emphasizes the low frequencies so that the highs dont become too pronounced. On a larger cabinet, such as a 4 x 12, the amps Flat mode takes full advantage of the cabinets characteristics. Equipped with a dedicated Mid Control that boosts or cuts mid frequencies, the MV50 HG can generate extreme sounds, whether for heavy rhythm parts or cutting lead tones.
Keeping up with the times.
The MV50 HGs line/headphone output allows connection to a mixer, audio interface, or headphones. Vox engineers ensured that only high-end microphones and vintage preamps (!) were used as the basis for the speaker simulation on the line output. This cleverly designed circuit enables authentic sound reproduction in all situations, whether recording or live playback.
