I was tired of spending hours positioning my mics, adjusting the amp volumes, equalizing the lows, etc.... I had a super Engl sound etc... but it's too much for a home, not usable and annoying to mic up, a great experience though before switching to modeling to know what you want in the settings so no regrets! I hesitated between Fractal, Helix, etc and loving the Neural and Darkglass VSTi as bass amps I took the Quad and sold my analog gear and I regret nothing! On line input on my RME I have an insane sound and zero latency in a small box... Some haters will say something is missing compared to analog and well if you don't know or don't take the time to adjust your machines too bad for you because the Quad Cortex is the best purchase I've ever made and I enjoy playing for hours on headphones and testing settings, saving presets, it's great!

The quality of the simulations and captures is incredible but you need to know how to use the amps in the first place. Besides the initial handling of the tagazou, you also need to know the gear on which the model used is based. Regarding effects, I don't really use any except pitch shifting, reverb, and delay, so I couldn't say if they are good.
